Applesauce Yogurt Jello

Published:  08/30/2016

This refreshing fruity two-layered dessert gets its unique texture from the addition of applesauce to the gelatin. Put it in pretty glasses and have a party.

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 pkg. (8-serving size) JELL-O Brand Sugar Free Low Calorie Gelatin, any Berry flavor
  • 1 ½  cup chilled applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup Berry Flavored Low fat Yogurt

Stir boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl with a whisk at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.

Measure out 1/2 cup of gelatin and reserve in a small bowl. Do not refrigerate yet.

Stir applesauce and cinnamon into gelatin that is in the medium bowl. Pour into four dessert glasses. Refrigerate until set but not firm.

Once gelatin in the dessert glasses is fairly firm, refrigerate remaining gelatin until slightly thickened. This will only take about 10-15 minutes. It should be about the consistency of honey. Once it is, mix in yogurt and spoon over gelatin in dessert glasses.

Refrigerate 2 hours or until set.

When ready to serve, top with fat free Cool whip and berries if you'd like.
