  • 1 Tablespoon oliive or canola oil
  • 1 white or yellow onion, diced
  • 12 to 16 ounces 93% lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes with or without green chiles

Add 1 Tablespoon olive or canola oil in a large pan. Heat to medium-high, add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients to the pan and 1/2 cup water  and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

Serve immediately, with optional toppings if desired. Or, store in a sealed container for up to 4 days.
