Ingredients
4 medium cucumbers, washed well, dried, lightly peeled thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced into rings
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh dill, chopped (optional)
Directions:
In a large glass or metal bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers and onions.
In a separate saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves.
