How can I look great while I'm losing weight without investing a lot of money?

I asked local fashion and style expert Annette Bond, owner of Definitive Style, how women can look great while losing weight without spending a lot of money.
"I am often asked this question by people who are in the process of weight loss, limited budgets and personal image updates. Whatever is going on in your life, I believe we have the choice to look and feel great every single day. It starts by embracing an attitude "I am going to look great".
Start by purchasing a few great foundational pieces like a black pant, little black dress and a skirt. It does not have to be black; just make sure it's a neutral color. As you lose weight you can have it altered. Did you know that you can alter clothes up to 4 sizes if it's a quality piece?
Next, choose 2 accent colors that you love - a color that brings out your eyes is always a great choice. Start by adding simple shells, sweaters you can layer for added polish, and beautiful inspired scarves in those accent colors. Or it might be in your accessories - a fun necklace or earring. Lipstick or gloss can also be a fantastic pick me up - gives you that added finish that pulls everything together.
What you'll find is by working with a few pieces that have a great fit, your confidence will soar. Adding a pop of color is easy and fun and sets the tone for "I feel like a million bucks" and it feels amazing!"
