What are you grateful for?

Two Minute Stress Reduction Technique

Emotional eating and lack of motivation to exercise can be caused by undue stress and negative thoughts.

Here is one of the best stress-reduction techniques there is. It is simple: Take two minutes and focus on what you're thankful for. Reflect on what you are grateful for, write a list or tell someone.

By making a list of things you're grateful for, you focus the brain on positive thoughts. You will be amazed at how much better you feel when you get in the habit of thankfulness.

I hope that helps!

Looking for another technique that might help you control emotional eating? Emotions and situations can trigger the desire to overeat and cause us to eat more calories than we need or even want without being aware of it. This leads to feelings of guilt and despair. See this post on a technique that might help you.
